ARTICLE UPDATE: Clyde William McKay, Jr's remains were
recovered in Cambodia. A positive identification was made at the U.S. Army's Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii
using DNA samples from a family member.

In the years since I wrote this article, new facts
have come to light. There is no longer any doubt that the Columbia Eagle seizure was genuine and not a CIA operation.
This author wishes to
express appreciation to Mr. Glatkowski for the sacrifices that both he and Clyde McKay made in their single-minded action
against the U.S. war of aggression in southeast Asia.
They selflessly risked their life and liberty for the cause of peace.
In my opinion, and speaking as an honorably discharged vet who also opposed
the war, I consider both men to be true American heroes of the highest order. I am certain that generations
of anti-war activists will applaud their courageous act... JH
